Wahoo's Computer & Internet Tips Newsletter - July 2007In The News This Month... This month I have included 2 articles for you. First one is called Your Computer's Name and the second one is called Word Tip - Change the Alignment and Position of Bulleted / Numbered List. Hope you enjoy them! That's that! Thanks for reading! Did You Know...?A salmon with two mouths, two sets of teeth and two tongues was caught by Bob Bateman of Canada. Can you say "mutant"? Windows XP Tip - Your Computer's NameHave you ever wondered what your computer's name is? It's not Dell or HP or MGD. That's the company who made your computer, not it's actual name. It should be registered under your name or a member of your family. Here's how you can check it. Go to your desktop and find the My Computer icon. Right click on that and choose Properties. This will bring up a box with several tabs listed. Find the Computer Name tab and click on it. Once that opens up, you will be able to see the name your computer uses. You will first see the computer description, which is probably just something you put in there when you first got your computer. Or maybe you got your computer from someone else and the description hasn't been changed yet. If you want to type something else in for that area, you can go ahead and do it. Next, you will see the full computer name and workgroup name (if you have one). If you would like to rename your computer, click on the Change button and just type in the correct name. When you're done, click OK twice. Word Tip - Change the Alignment and Position of Bulleted / Numbered ListYou can easily change the alignment and position of your bulleted and numbered lists within Word. You need to open the Bullets and Numbering window and change the Number position and Text position. The Number position values determine the position of the list in relation to the margin or indent. The Text position values determine the position of the text in relation to the numbers.
